There are many nice boutique hotels in Delft, as well as Airbnb options. Alternatively, there is a large selection of hotels in the nearby cities of The Hague or Rotterdam if you wish to stay there (approx. 10 minutes by train).

TRANSPORT

We do not recommend renting a car in the Netherlands. Instead, we suggest using the train and other public transportation options—or taxis/Uber if you prefer. Biking is also very common, but please be mindful of cyclists, as they have dedicated lanes and won't stop for pedestrians! Stay alert when walking or biking.

For trains, NS is the official app where you can plan routes, check live schedules, and purchase tickets. You can buy tickets at the station or simply tap your credit/debit card on one of the yellow posts or ticket gates before entering the platform. There is a direct train from Amsterdam to Delft.

Don't forget to tap out when leaving the station!

Credit cards are not widely used here, but ATMs are available, and you can pay with a debit card, phone, or Apple Pay in most places.

PHONES & CONNECTION

For using your phone abroad, we recommend using an eSIM, such as Maya Mobile, or purchasing a prepaid physical SIM card. You can buy an internet package for a set number of days. Once activated, your network should work across Europe.

In case of emergencies, dial 112.
